"Lightweight Artists" is a framework for continuing artistic and cultural activities. Any artists belonging to this group can plan and lead events based on their imagination, knowledge, and talent. Artists support a potential director and complete a picture with people who can follow. Essentially, it exists to minimise many of the difficulties encountered in acting independently.
Now, we're planning our third exhibition in London - the "Deep-sea" exhibition. By associating the deep sea itself to something that is imperceptible, we aim to express, thus illustrate, the process of exploring the deep sea like how an individual's curiosity or instinct may change within a capitalist society. The exhibition is expected to take place in London for the public, with private invitations sent out to backers.
The goal of this campaign is to implement the planned “Deep-sea" exhibition.

We do art for art. Our ultimate goal is to go beyond just doing the art that we want to do; to lower the entry barriers for art or creative activities, and to make the perception of fine art a little bit lighter for others, to eventually increase the size of the fine art pie. We are using a system called crowdfunding, as a method of gathering funds with art activities to invest in other art activities. We plan to focus more on the connection to the market than the independence of art and create a new virtuous circle in creative activity.
All of the backers of the "Deep-sea" exhibition at the planning stage are qualified to receive a piece of art which is one of a kind. All backers can decide the size, artists, or even the title or subject of a work.
‌We will personally contact all the backers to get the subject or title of the work they want, which can be only one word.

If the campaign succeeds, it will be held in London between late February and early March.

At the entrance to the exhibition hall, collage will be used to express the rapid change of the processes of buying and selling aesthetic value by money; it is easily abandoned and recreating again at the same time.

In the first space, a beam projector will be installed to create a sense of being immersed in the sea. Human-like shadows can be seen on the floor using lighting and human-shaped models on the ceiling. Also, the shadows on the floor are marked with a price tag on the body. Using light and sound, we focus on creating a space that can be detached from the society we used to be in.

These images present a fundamental structure for a passageway connecting ‘Space1’ and ‘Space 2’. The passageway will be covered with a fabric which allows only people who are determined to go deeper into the exhibition to see inside. Initially, the audiences will confront the moment, thus challenging themselves after glancing into the passageway through a scope. Decisions of either going further or stopping will be purely made by the visitors, yet, “If you don’t go and do something in life, nothing happens” (a statement from Suzy Amis, a wife of James Cameron, from a documentary, ‘Deep Sea Challenge’).

In the dark room, there are towers of rocks alongside the walls. There is one main tower that you can see as soon as enter. Each rock in the tower is covered with reflective materials (i.e. foils) and there is a projection on the tower. The lights from the projection reflect on each rock and this causes a mesmerising experience in the room. Under each rock, there is a sensor which is triggered when the rock is lifted/taken off by the audience member, causing a change of projection which alters the mesmerising effect and sounds in the room. The audience can touch and move the things around in the room. For instance, the audience is given the choice to make changes to the towers. The tower of rocks symbolises a well-built capitalist system.
